Ingredients
Scale
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 Cup(s) sugar
- 1 3/4 Cup(s) flour
- 2 Teaspoon(s) baking powder
- 1 Tablespoon(s) vanilla sugar
- 3 Ounce(s) melted butter
- 1 Cup(s) milk (or water)
- 1 Tablespoon(s) bread crumbs
Directions
- Note that this recipe is adjusted for high altitude baking (5000'). This recipe is based on my sister Lena's recipe, but adjusted accordingly.
- Butter a pound cake form, and sprinkle breadcrumbs on the inside (it'll stick to the butter). Remove any excess crumbs. Melt butter (30-45s in a microwave). Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, lower rack.
- Whip eggs and sugar hard, to a smooth mix. Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl, and fold it in softly with the eggs and sugar (don't overwork the mix). Add liquids, and mix together to a smooth mix.
- Pour the mix immediately into the form, and bake for about 35 minutes (but test it obviously).
